Driving Instructions from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal:

After exiting from the ferry terminal you will find yourself on the Patricia Bay Highway. Stay on the Highway for approximately 20 minutes until you pass Elk Lake on your right hand side. The first light past Elk Lake is Elk Lake Dr. where you will exit to your right. Stay on Elk Lake Dr. and you will quickly reach the Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites.

Driving Instructions from the Washington State Ferry terminal:

Upon arriving into Sidney at the Ferry terminal turn left on Lochside Rd. and follow Lochside to McTavish Rd. Turn right on McTavish Rd. and follow out to the Patricia Bay Highway. At these lights turn left and follow highway for approximately 15 minutes where you will pass Elk Lake on your right hand side. The first light past Elk Lake is Elk Lake Dr. where you will exit to your right. Stay on Elk Lake Dr. and you will quickly reach the Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites Victoria.

Driving Instructions from Downtown Victoria (Inner Harbour):

Follow Government St. North (away from the harbour), and turn right on Fort St. Dive up Fort St, and turn left at the second set of lights onto Blanshard St. Follow Blanshard St. until it turns into Pat Bay Highway (Highway #17), and then take the Royal Oak Exit. You will see a Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites sign on the off ramp from the highway, at the lights make a left turn on to Royal Oak Dr. Cross the overpass and turn right at Elk Lake Dr. You will see the Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites on the left hand side.

Driving Instructions from Northern Vancouver Island:

Stay on Trans Canada Highway until you reach the McKenzie intersection where you will follow signs to Highway #17, BC Ferries Swartz Bay, and Victoria Int'l Airport. Once you have reached Highway 17 you will travel for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the Royal Oak Exit. There will also be a Howard Johnson sign alerting you to this exit. Take the Royal Oak Exit and turn left on Royal Oak. Cross the overpass, and turn right on Elk Lake Dr. You will soon see the Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites on your left hand side.
